Hope Afrique Sports Network

THE STRATEGY

Sports in Africa provides for a seamless setting for relationship building, character and life skills development, work-life balance and evangelism. As God mandates us to disciple others, Hope Afrique Sports Network aims to:

REACH

Through sports give youth and children an exciting, instructional, and holistic experience that dignifies them and helps develop skills, character, resilience, and their faith in Christ.

Sharing the good news of the gospel is not simply a suggestion. It is a command that Jesus set out for us: to be the catalyst for eternal heart change in our neighbors and throughout the world as we share God’s Word with others (Matthew 28:19-20)

TEACH

As believers in Jesus Christ, we play and coach for Him, not for ourselves. We must win with humility and lose with dignity, maintaining our character regardless of our success or failures on the field,

recognizing that athletic talent is a blessing that we should nurture to inspire a balance of faith, family, work, confidence, and joy in our lives and those of others. (1 Thessalonians 5:11): “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”

OUTREACH

With the understanding that our Christian lives embrace the fullness of human existence – physical, relational, intellectual, and spiritual, Christian athletes understand how they can glorify God

in their sport through testimony to others and society at large and bringing more youth into the fold, not only to entertain, but also to strengthen bodies, sharpen minds and introduce people to the word of God. (Matthew 5:16): “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
